Monte Patterson is a filmmaker and visual artist. Born in Gary, Indiana. He received his BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is currently a Master of Fine Arts Student at The Ohio University Schoolof Film, where he teaches Storyboarding.
"I am drawn to the complex relationships that construct the identity of Americans. The works attempt to delight through constructed narratives, but at the core, is the exposition of loneliness and isolation."
Monte's latest short film "Caught" has received noted acclaim and has screened at the Atlanta Film Festival, Chicago Reeling Film Festival, Cincinnati Film Festival, Austin Gay/Lesbian Int'l Film Festival, and many other venues.
